Starting in front of the IMF and World Bank, the leading ambassadors of the “free market” system that has ruined the world, the Carnival Against the G20 celebrated the opportunity to present new ideas.
Our rally featured speakers from communities affected by neoliberalism and street theater to break the fourth wall between us and the world powers at the G20.
Our march featured stilt-walkers, fire-breathers, a marching band, circus acts, face paint, puppets, and banners as we walk away from neoliberalism and towards our People’s Forum, where an open, democratic alternative to the G20 summit was held.
Along with our cosponsors, several groups announced their participation in the march including:
